wifi Configuration

STEP 1

Plug in Ticker

STEP 2

On a mobile device, connect to the Wifi terminal named “VG”

STEP 3

Enter Wifi Credentials

You will be automatically be redirected to the configuration page. If not, please follow the ANDROID instructions to proceed.

ANDROID

Open your favorite web browser (while on the VG Network) and connect to the address of 192.168.4.1

CATHODE POISONING

Nixie Tubes are Vintage tech are considered New Old-Stock “NOS”. Because of how they were manufactured in the good ole days, you may find that some of your digits may be dimly lit in small sections compared to others. This is completely normal as all tubes are prone to Cathode Poisoning over the course of their life span.

ERROR 404

Unit is not detected as an original Voltage Goat device. If it is believed to be an original, please contact us.

TICKER LEDS LIGHT BUT DIGITS ARE NOT SHOWING

Sometimes there are routers that will block unfamiliar external devices from connecting. In order to verify this issue, connect your ticker temporarily to a mobile hotspot and reboot the unit. If the digits start ticking, you will need to find what is blocking it internally in your router. A common string that is found closely relates internally in the router log phrasing “WLAN access restricted due to insufficient security”.
